There’s just something special about the Village of St. Jacobs during the holiday season. Thousands of twinkling lights, charming shops, festive treats and the sound of Christmas carols in the air… it’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, soak it all in and enjoy a little holiday magic.

And we're bringing that magic back!

Join us for SPARKLES: A Holiday Shopping Event, happening November 12–15 and November 19–22. Whether you're getting a head start on your Christmas shopping, looking for something unique, or simply in the mood for a festive outing, there's plenty to enjoy around the Village!

🎁 Shop, Stroll & Stay A Little Longer

Make an evening of it! Our Village shops are opening their doors later so you can browse, shop and discover all the wonderful local businesses at your own pace.

• Thursdays: Shops open until 8 PM
• Fridays & Saturdays: Shops open until 9 PM
• Sundays: Shops follow their regular business hours, which vary by location.

🎶 The Waterloo County Carollers Are Coming!

Nothing says Christmas quite like the sound of carollers filling the streets with your favourite holiday songs!

Keep your ears open as the Waterloo County Carollers wander throughout the Village, bringing festive music and plenty of Christmas cheer.

• Thursdays: 6–8 PM
• Fridays: 5–8 PM
• Saturdays: 4–7 PM
• Sundays: 2–4 PM

It's the perfect soundtrack for a little holiday shopping!

🐴 Enjoy a Free Horse & Wagon Ride

Looking for a little old-fashioned holiday charm? Hop aboard a FREE horse and wagon ride and enjoy a leisurely trip through the Village.

It's a lovely way to take in the lights, enjoy the scenery and make a few special memories along the way.

🎅 Santa Is Making His Way to the Village!

Of course, it wouldn't be Sparkles without a visit from the big guy himself! Santa will be making several special appearances throughout the event, so bring the kids, grab your camera and get ready for some Christmas magic.

Thursday Evenings | 6–8 PM
📍 TriSisters Art House, 1370 King St.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the TriSisters deck, ready to greet visitors and spread a little Christmas cheer. While you're there, be sure to check out Explore Waterloo's beautiful Mistletoe Art Installation!

Friday & Saturday Evenings | 6–8 PM
📍 Around the Village

Keep your eyes peeled! Santa will be wandering through the Village, handing out candy canes, stopping for photos and sharing a little Christmas magic wherever he goes.

Saturday & Sunday | 1–4 PM
📍 Home Hardware, 1420 King St.

Bring the little ones for a classic Christmas visit with Santa. There'll be time to share Christmas wishes, drop off letters and capture a special holiday photo.

Santa's visits at Home Hardware are made possible with support from the Optimist Club of St. Jacobs.

🔥 Warm Up by the Burn Barrels

There's nothing quite like gathering around a cozy fire on a chilly November evening!

Stop by the St. Jacobs Fire Department Burn Barrels on Friday evenings from 5–8 PM in the parking lot at Living Fresh, 1382 King St.

It's a great spot to take a little break, warm up and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
