'Metal Earth' product collab: Why the Butterfly?

The butterfly might be one of the coolest things on the planet!

Starting as a caterpillar, it morphs into a gentle winged creature. Not only does it alter its physical being, but it does with designs that are visually stunning but also has defensive abilities that can confuse potential predators.

How does that happen? Well, here is the very simple science in a nutshell:

• The caterpillar larvae hatches
• It eats a ton of leaves
• It stops eating and spins itself into a cocoon
• Inside that cocoon it breaks itself down
• It rebuilds itself and emerges as a butterfly.

Simply Amazing.

This is why we love butterflies. This transformation is what we hope for all people,
business, organizations, and leadership. To be able to see the amazing things we have
inside and be confident enough to transform into a new version that displays 
beautiful artistry on wings to take you places you never knew you could go.

The other thing we love about the butterfly is it's unapologetic embrace of weakness in
this transformation. The butterfly chooses to become a fragile display of determination. 

In the case of the monarch, migrating across a continent, being blown from east to west,
dodging raindrops that could literally crush them done entirely for the purpose of
ensuring the next generation has a chance at life.
